Il 23° itinerario storico proposto ha come destinazione la polveriera di Merikià con i depositi munizioni ed esplosivi dislocati nelle due vallate che si aprono sull’omonima rada.
Il punto di ritrovo è fissato per le 10:00 di sabato 19 luglio presso il parcheggio all’ombra degli eucalipti all’inizio della baia. Da qui inizierà l’escursione a piedi di circa 1,5 km su terreno pianeggiante ma talvolta accidentato ed all’interno di gallerie, della durata prevista in circa due ore; si raccomandano vivamente pantaloni lunghi e calzature chiuse.
Gli interessati sono pregati di confermare la partecipazione entro le 12:00 di venerdì 18 luglio via mail (aial.leros@gmail.com) o via sms (+30 694 536 9510) in quanto l’escursione è subordinata al numero di partecipanti. Η 23η ιστορική διαδρομή έχει ως προορισμό την πυριτιδαποθήκη της Μερικιά με τις αποθήκες πυρομαχικών και εκρηκτικών που βρίσκονται στις δύο κοιλάδες που εκβάλλουν στον ομώνυμο όρμο.
Το σημείο συνάντησης έχει οριστεί για τις 10 π.μ. το Σάββατο 19 Ιουλίου στο πάρκινγκ κάτω από τους ευκαλύπτους στην αρχή της παραλίας. Από εκεί θα ξεκινήσει η εκδρομή, μήκους περίπου 1,5 χμ περπατήματος (σε επίπεδο, αλλά ενίοτε σε ανώμαλο έδαφος και μέσα σήραγγες), και διαρκέσει περίπου δύο ώρες. Συνιστώνται μακριά παντελόνια και κλειστά παπούτσια.
Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι παρακαλούνται να επιβεβαιώσουν την συμμετοχή ως τις 12:00 της Παρασκευής 18 Ιουλίου μέσω mail (aial.leros@gmail.com) ή sms (+30 694 536 9510) δεδομένου ότι η διαδρομή εξαρτάται από τον αριθμό των συμμετεχόντων. Παρακαλούμε να ενημερώσετε τους φίλους που μπορούν να ενδιαφερθούν.

Le 23ème itinéraire historique proposé a pour but la poudrière de Merikia avec entrepôts et galeries de rangement des munitions et explosifs situés le long des deux vallées qui s’ouvrent sur la baie.
Le rendez-vous est fixé pour samedi 19 julliet à 10h00 dans le parking sous les eucalyptus au début de la plage. D’ici démarrera l’excursion à pieds de environ 1,5 km sur terrain plat mais parfois cahoteux et dans les tunnels; la durée prévue est de deux heures environ. On recommande vivement pantalons longs et chaussures fermées.

The proposed 23th historical path has for destination the ammunition depots and storage galleries at Merikià, located in the two valleys that open onto the bay.
The meeting point is at the parking under the eucalyptus at beginning of the beach, on Saturday, July 19th at 10am. From there we’ll start the walking trail on flat ground but sometime rough and inside tunnels; the excursion will be approximately 1,5 km and two hours duration. We strongly recommend long pants and closed shoes.
